Sanjay Kamlani, Co-CEO, Pangea3

Sanjay is a co-founder and Co-CEO of Pangea3, the leader in India legal outsourcing. In this capacity, Sanjay oversees Pangea3's India legal outsourcing business operations and manages all delivery, quality control and administrative services for Pangea3 on a global basis.

Prior to forming Pangea3, Sanjay was the CFO & General Counsel of OfficeTiger B.V., a multinational professional support services outsourcing company. In 2003, Sanjay lived in Chennai, India managing OfficeTiger's India facility. Prior to becoming a member of the founding management team at OfficeTiger in 2000, Sanjay was a Senior Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers in New York where he developed and managed the US firm's India International Business Network advising U.S. and India- based multinationals on structuring and implementing cross-border business investments, acquisitions and operations in India and the U.S. His major clients included AT&T, Ford Motor Company, Hughes Electronics, Lucent, Cognizant, NASDAQ-Software Solutions International, Softbank and Syntel. Sanjay's experience at OfficeTiger coupled with his experience at PwC working with that firm's 2,000 plus professionals to deliver cross border business solutions and advisory services to U.S. clients amounts to more than 15 years of experience in professional services outsourcing from India, this is one of the factors that makes Pangea3 a leader in India legal outsourcing.

Sanjay holds a B.A. (Cum Laude) from Duke University, a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and an LL.M. from the New York University Law School. Sanjay is admitted to the New York Bar.


Arihant Patni - Chief Executive Officer, Bodhi Global

Arihant Patni is an entrepreneur, corporate executive and financial advisor who has extensive experience in computer software, business development/marketing and IT infrastructure. He has worked in India, the United States and throughout Europe.

Arihant began his career at Patni Computer Systems, where he had a broad exposure to the business of the company, including consulting positions in the computer software and human resources departments, as well as being a business development and marketing executive. In the latter capacity, Arihant was part of a team dedicated to the European market and worked to increase global brand awareness for the Patni companies and products. Subsequently, Arihant worked as a Business Strategy Consultant for Fidelity Investments in Boston, where he led a finance systems strategy project for one of Fidelity's companies, involving business process analyses, systems re-design and solutions recommendations. He then worked as a Management Consultant for Booz, Allen & Hamilton, where he brought his computer expertise to bear on projects relating to the enhancement the firm's electronic security tools and protocols. Arihant was Vice-President for Business Development for Raay Software, Inc., where he started the U.S. office for a European software product company operating in the healthcare space, developed the marketing campaign for the United States and conducted strategic market analysis to build brand awareness.


Rahul Shah, AVP & Head – LPO Practice, Infosys

Rahul has over 16 years of outsourcing, consulting and business management experience across wide variety of domains including energy and commodity trading and risk management, Knowledge process outsourcing and Legal Process Outsourcing. He currently heads the LPO Practice in Infosys. Prior to handling the LPO Practice, Rahul has played multiple roles within Infosys in the last decade that he has spent with Infosys. Rahul has written and published widely in international journals and publications and has spoken in international forums across wide variety of topics relating to outsourcing. Rahul is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and an Electronics Engineer from IT-BHU, Benares.


Abhi Shah, CEO, Clutch Group

Abhi Shah is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Clutch Group. In this role, Abhi is responsible for overseeing all business operations and the overall strategic direction of the company.

Prior to Clutch Group, he worked with Mphasis, a global IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services company with over 12,000 employees. He led the sale of the company for $800 million to a leading U.S. healthcare solutions provider and spearheaded the strategy for integrating the companies post-acquisition. Prior to MphasiS, he was a senior consultant at Accenture where he led multiple client engagements with Fortune 100 companies in the telecommunications and pharmaceutical industries.

Abhi received a BBA in Marketing with honors from Texas A&M University and a MBA from Harvard Business School. He also completed the Eisenhower Leadership Development Program led by former U.S. President George H. Bush.

As Vice President & Managing Director of DOAR's Business Development Group, Desh R. Urs is responsible for overseeing the company's marketing and sales initiatives.

He joined DOAR as part of a strategic partnership between DOAR and iBridge, LLC, a leader in legal process outsourcing and document review services. Hemant K Batra, Lead Partner-Kaden Boriss Legal LLP & Vice President, SAARCLAW

Hemant Batra is a Corporate, Business & Strategist Commercial Lawyer, whose practice is concentrated across the Globe in general, specifically in India/South Asia. Lalit Bhasin, President, Society of Indian Law Firms & Partner, Bhasin & Company

Lalit Bhasin - Born on 19th January, 1939, started Law Practice in September, 1962. He was the Chairman, Bar Council of Delhi from 1973 to 1977. At present he is the General Secretary, Bar Association of India and President, Society of Indian Law Firms (SILF). He is also the Partner of Bhasin & Company - leading law firm in India. Michael D. Bell, Managing Principal, Fronterion LLC

Michael D. Bell is the founder and managing principal of Fronterion LLC. His expertise covers the full spectrum of legal outsourcing advisory services including solution development, onsite vendor due diligence/selection, risk management/ethical compliance, solution implementation, and ongoing vendor relationship management. Bell was instrumental in Fronterion’s pioneering undertaking as the first firm to take a highly structured approach to the evaluation of the legal outsourcing vendor marketplace. Patrick Burke, Senior Director and Assistant General Counsel, Guidance Software, Inc

Patrick Burke is a Senior Director and Assistant General Counsel at Guidance Software, Inc., where he works with legal departments at major US, Canadian and European companies implementing in-house eDiscovery processes. He writes and speaks regularly on the intersection between eDiscovery law and technology, international eDiscovery and privacy/data protection.

Prior to joining Guidance, Patrick was an associate in the commercial litigation department of Linkaters, the London-based Magic Circle law firm, where he was co-head of Linklaters’ global eDiscovery working group. He has also practiced as a commercial litigator at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison. He is a participant in the Sedona Conference on eDiscovery, including Working Group 6 on international electronic discovery practice. He regularly presents at -- and sometimes chairs -- the major eDiscovery conferences.

Patrick obtained his law degree from the New York University School of Law, where he was recognized for the best article or comment of the year for his article on corporate speech rights under the First Amendment to the US Constitution. He interned at the U.S. Justice Department and served as a Law Clerk to U.S. District Court Judge Glenn E. Mencer. He pursued his undergraduate studies at SUNY Binghamton and the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.


Richard Reade, UK General Counsel, ISS World

Richard joined ISS, from Pinsent Masons, in 2007. As UK General Counsel he established and built the UK legal function and set up the first UK legal team. Richard has influenced global ISS legal policies - particularly in contractual risk management.

ISS is a global support services company whose work includes facility management; security; cleaning; catering; landscaping and construction. Forbes lists ISS as the world's 5th largest private employer. In the UK alone, it has 43,000 employees. ISS was published in the American Fortune Magazine, as the world’s 6th best outsourcing company (data complied and assessed by the IAOP).

Richard oversees most corporate legal issues in the UK but with particular emphasis on risk management in commercial contracts. Nigel Kissack, Head, Pinsent Masons' Dispute Resolution and Litigation team

Specialising in resolving disputes for listed and institutional businesses – in the UK and internationally – he has significant experience of complex M&A disputes / warranty claims, trade and investor disputes, as well as FSA regulatory issues.

A qualified Mediator, Nigel is an expert in injunctions and emergency orders and acts as a Court appointed Supervisor of Search and Seize Orders.

Deepak Malhotra, Senior Vice President and General Counsel, Constellation

Deepak Malhotra is Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Constellation Europe and Australia. He is acknowledged as a leader in the global legal community, and his team won Global Legal Team of the Year 2006 at the Legal Week Awards. He has presented at several conferences and written papers for journals on issues facing General Counsel, and relationship with law firms. Deepak has worked in industry for over 12 years, for Constellation, AB Inbev and Gillette, prior to which he worked for two international law firms.

Sakthivel Venkatraman, Managing Director of Operations, Cobra Legal Solutions Pvt Ltd

Sakthivel Venkatraman, as Managing Director of Operations, India, is primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and support services of Cobra in India. He was formerly the head of operations for the Legal and Transaction processing unit of OfficeTiger, a large professional outsourcing company in India. Sakthivel oversaw the department since its inception and was responsible for building and managing a team of 500 over four years. He was one of the few subject matter experts in India for Securities litigation, consumer litigation and mass tort litigations. Prior to OfficeTiger, Sakthivel worked at NIIT, one of India's leading software training companies, and at Tata Consultancy Services.

Sakthivel is experienced in a number of areas, including operations management, client relationship, and corporate sales account management, implementation of service deliverables, and creation and oversight of quality control processes. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Rising Star Outreach of India. He is a graduate in science from the University of Madras, with masters' degree in business administration(SSM) and business law from NLSIU. He is recognized and certified by the Forum of Free Enterprise (FFE) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).


Mark Ross, Vice President – Legal Services, Integreon Managed Solutions

Mark Ross is an experienced UK litigation solicitor and former partner at high profile UK law firm Underwoods Solicitors. Mark moved to Los Angeles in 2006 and joined LawScribe where he was responsible for Global Sales and Marketing, before moving to Integreon in November 2009. He is a recognized authority and thought leader in the field of legal outsourcing. He has been published by, and interviewed for, numerous mainstream and legal publications, including TIME magazine, the UK Law Society Gazette, and the ABA’s Law Practice Management. He is the former Chair of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals’ Legal Outsourcing Chapter.

He is a recognized expert on the Ethics of Legal Outsourcing, and has written numerous articles and a widely acclaimed White Paper dealing with the subject. He developed the first State Bar approved MCLE Ethics course, provided by a legal outsourcing company, on the ethical implications of outsourcing legal work. Ganesh Natarajan – President and CEO, Mindcrest

Dr. Akhil Prasad, Director and Head-Legal & Company Secretary, Fidelity International – India

Dr. Akhil Prasad is Director and Head of Legal at Fidelity International India (FIL India Business Services) and is based at Gurgaon. In past he has held offices as Director India Legal Affairs & Company Secretary of The Walt Disney Company India (2005 to 2007); as Senior Attorney & Company Secretary of General Motors India (2003 to 2005); and as Assistant General Manager Legal with Electrolux Kelvinator (2000 to 2002). Prior to these assignments, he has also worked with the legal teams in Modicorp Group (including Modi Xerox and Graphtech India from 1995 to 2000). Akhil has about over 15 years’ experience as an In-house Counsel.

Akhil holds a Doctorate in Commerce, is a post graduate in Law, is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK. He is also a non-practicing Solicitor of England & Wales and is a member of the Law Society, UK. Peter Brudenall, Partner, Global Technology, Outsourcing & Privacy, Hunton & Williams LLP, UK

Peter Brudenall is a partner in the firm's Global Technology and Outsourcing Group. Peter has extensive experience in advising companies on technology procurement, the outsourcing of services, contract disputes, software development and the licensing and exploitation of intellectual property. He also advises companies on agency agreements, research and development agreements, distribution agreements and franchise agreements. He acts for both customers and suppliers, and has significant experience in acting for Indian-based IT and outsourcing vendors.

Peter is ranked as a leading lawyer for both outsourcing and technology law in all major legal directories. It is stated in the 2008 edition of Chambers that he "knows how the market is developing and its key issues, so he knows how to add value in terms of constructing the contract." Dr Sanjeev Gemawat, Vice President – Legal & Secretarial, DLF Rentco Group and DLF Holdings

Sanjeev joined DLF Group in August 2007 as Vice President – Legal & Secretarial and currently looks after legal, secretarial & regulatory affairs of DLF Rentco Group and DLF Holdings. Barry Clarke, Senior Vice President, India at Invest Northern Ireland

Percis Anklesaria – Head Quality and Training, Bodhi Global

Percis joins Bodhi with over a decade of valuable experience. She received her master's in law from Columbia University (New York) in the year 2003. She is a law graduate from Symbiosis Law College, Pune, India and a registered solicitor with the Law Society of England and Wales.

Percis has worked with a few of India’s leading law firms where she was advising and assisting clients on all aspects of international and domestic commercial transactions and on various Indian commercial laws, including foreign exchange regulations, structured "entry" routes, and negotiated joint ventures. She has headed due diligence work on potential target companies as well as companies engaged in a public issue. She has drafted/reviewed various types of transactional documentation, conveyance/lease agreements and other related documentation and has been involved in alternative dispute resolution, including international commercial arbitration, and the pre- and post-arbitral processes.

Fredrik Motzfeldt, CPCU, Senior Vice President, EMEA Practice Leader, Marsh Global Communications, Media & Technology Practice

In his current role as the Mash EMEA CMT Practice Leader, Fredrik is responsible for technical advice and new business development within the Communications, Media & Technology sector in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Based in London, UK, Fredrik oversees the development of insurance products, risk management consulting and financing solutions for the communications, media & technology industry exposures in EMEA. He acts as an adviser to and liaison with clients and Marsh offices worldwide on a broad range of communications, media & technology industry-related issues, including specialty subjects such as cloud computing, intellectual property, open source, and non-material damage business interruption.


Alison Hook, Head of the International Department of the Law Society, England and Wales

Alison joined the Law Society in January 2002. Prior to this she worked for the European Commission as Deputy Head of the European Commission Representation in the UK (1997-2001), in the Cabinet of European Commissioner Sir Leon Brittan covering a variety of trade, economic and legal issues (1993-1997) and for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (1987-93). She is an economist by training and joined the Government Economic Service after studying at Edinburgh and Warwick Universities.

Mark is one of Europe's most experienced legal information publishers. Prior to becoming publisher of The European Lawyer, Mark was publisher of The Lawyer where he launched one of the first legal search engines – thelawyer.com. Antony Alex, Managing Director, Legal Services (India), Pangea3

Prior to joining Pangea3, Antony was a Partner at Kochhar & Co. He is a general corporate and commercial lawyer with a focus on banking and financing transactions. Antony has considerable expertise in restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency matters as well as in sale and purchase of stressed assets. He has worked on financing transactions ranging from plain vanilla lending to structured finance and securitization. Financing and security documentation pertaining to corporate financing is his forte. He also has experience in advising private equity/venture capital funds in their investments in India. He has handled project finance transactions in the power sector that are based on conventional and non-conventional sources of energy. Further, he has extensive general corporate law experience that includes M&A, foreign investment, incorporation of companies, drafting and negotiating agreements including joint ventures, technology transfers, etc. He has also served as a legal counsel for a life insurance company.

Antony speaks regularly at international conferences and recently presented a paper on "Payment systems in e-commerce - India" at an international conference in Seattle. He is an active member of the Finance & Taxation sub-committee of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). He is also a member of the British Business Group, Inter Pacific Bar Association and the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa.
